Yuma

‘Yuma’ is a story about a group of friends on the Polish-German border after the fall of the Berlin wall, who wanted to take charge of their lives, to be somebody. With no one to look after them and no one to look up to, they soon took a wrong turn and became outlaws. They lived their lives fast and died young. The story behind ‘Yuma’, based on actual events, will be told with the use of the codes and conventions of the Western genre. Complex world of the Wild West would serve as a key to comprehension of the realm of Polish-German frontier of the 90’s. The film in it’s tone and theme could be compared to such titles as ‘Scarface’, ‘Traffic’, ‘Goodfellas’, ‘Once Upon a Time in America’ and popular HBO series ‘Deadwood’.
